Originally meant to be a comparison of macro photography between iPhone versus DSLR but ended up having a great time shooting my 8-legged model and juxtaposing it against some awesome lights for that superstar party look. iPhone 5 (+ macro attachment) versus Canon 650D DSLR (+ Tamron 90mm macro + 69mm extension tubes). IPhone 5 wins hands down in quick captures in the tight setup I had which serve to capture the agile spider than my ridiculously chuncky DSLR setup, although I can take higher quality but most of the time wasted trying to focus sharply, it was tough. The photos are all captured using iPhone default camera in HDR mode and processed in my ever-favorite app, Snapseed.
