Photographed this series at Singapore's Jurong Lake Gardens on boxing day, 26 Dec 2019. While the world is celebrating Christmas and unboxing gifts, contributing to the ever increasing ecological impact of consumerism. I was among perceived wilderness in the well groomed Garden City. The dystopian portrayed is dream-like, as Singapore was jungles barely decades ago before rapid urbanisation sprouted modern structures everywhere with only these plots of manicured nature left. We need awareness and actions before the irreversible happens, as we march towards ever increasing urbanisation.
